NanoCoat stone and concrete surface coatings designed to prevent secondary efflorescence

NanoCoat is a protective treatment that maintains the original texture, colour and appearance of the stone surface, while repelling and beading off water.

The unique stone and concrete surface coatings from NanoCoat effectively prevent the unsightly appearance of secondary efflorescence, a result of water penetrating the surface of mortar, concretes or brickwork and dissolving soluble calcium salts in unsightly patches.

NanoCoat acts as a microscopic nano sized barrier that penetrates 8mm deep within the surface of concretes and porous mineral surfaces. This to 76% of moisture to exchange through the substrate, minimising the emergence of water and salt crystals though the surface.

Ideal for applications to concretes, sandstones, limestones, cementeous surfaces, fibre cement, high strength load bearing concretes as well as pavers, walkways, retaining walls, bricks, pre-cast concretes, and all other porous mineral surfaces.

NanoCoat provides a durable and protective treatment that maintains the original texture, colour and appearance of the stone surface, while repelling and beading off water as it comes into contact with the porous surface.

By preventing water ingress, Concrete Shield is able to prevent and stop secondary efflorescence, which would normally result from the weathering of the concrete or stone, a common building maintenance concern.

Key features and benefits of the NanoCoat stone and concrete surface coatings include:

  • Only one flood application on facades required
  • Coverage rates of up to 15 square metres per litre can be achieved
  • Leaves no residues
  • Does not need to be wiped off
  • Dries to a natural finish
  • UV and heat resistant
  • Will not crack or peel overtime
  • Highly effective on new and existing porous stones
